What to Recycle
The Red Igloo-clear plastic milk, juice, and water jugs

  • Look for this symbol "2" on the bottom of the container
  • Remove caps
  • Rinse clean
  • Crush
  • Save for recycling
  • Please do not include caps

 

The Yellow Igloo-newspapers and telephone books

  • Leave loose-no need to tie or bundle
  • If it is inserted in the newspaper its can be recycled with the paper-keep all inserts with the paper
  • Keep as dry as possible

 

The Blue Igloo-Colored #2 plastics

  • Common containers made from #2 plastic-
    such as light-block milk jugs, laundry detergents, dish liquid, bleach. shampoo, and oil containers
  • Must have this symbol on the bottom
  • Remove caps
  • Rinse clean-with detergents, cold water works best
  • Crush
  • Please no wide mouth containers such as Cool Whip, butter dishes
  • Do not includes caps or lids

 

The Green Igloo-magazines and junk mail

  • All magazines
  • All catalogs
  • All junk mail
  • No need to bundle
  • Keep as dry as possible

The Gray Igloo-Tin and Steel cans

  • Rinse-carefully
  • No need to take off labels
  • Lids are recyclabe too
  • Empty paint cans-thin dry skin of paint only-are acceptable
  • Aerosol cans with nozzles-no caps
